Default Did I waste my money on this gadget???

Was wondering if I was a fool to buy the AMANET brand " red light changer" magnet gadget.....that triggers traffic light sensons to sense the presence of a motorcycle......so you're not sitting there all day/night long?

Any of you use it. What do you think. Does it really work? Should I bother putting it on or dump them on Ebay? I bought 3...... one for each of the bikes.

As Always, thanks for your input. It's appreciated.

I've heard of them, but hadn't considered buying one. I generally bitch at the city if I find a particular light that doesn't detect me. Doesn't happen too often.
I'll be curious what your experiences are.

I am interested in seeing what the response is. I have to run the first light in town everytime it stops me. Thought about this item also.

well seein how a majority of Interesections are on timers, and few controlled by motion sensors, i'd say you wasted your time.

Ive read of European countries with lights using motion sensors and being controlled with some " FOB" like gadgets to change them, but in the states, most are controlled on timers, and controlls dependant on rush hour traffic.

I can't say if a magnet or not works. However if it does, speaker magnets can be had for free.

These magnets are suppose to be special ( I'm sure they all say that)........
Anyway, I'm sure that during rush hour in big cities, they're on specific timers. But if you live in a rural / suburb areas or ride at night....... I'm hoping these will come in usefull.

They weren't that expensive, and man is the magnet strong. About jumps out of your hand if it gets around anything metallic. Anyway, hoping someone has one of these on their bike to give me some input before I mount it.

Nearly all the lights here are on sensors, except for the really heavily-traveled streets during rush hour. There are a couple that just refuse to recognize bikes, even when my gf and I ride separately. You'd think 2 bikes would trigger the light, but no such luck.

Heck, slap one on your main ride and try it out for a couple of weeks. I suspect lots of us are interested to hear what you find. And if they don't work you can still dump them on ebay.
