Default Does my 09SB have saddlebag docking kit?

I bought my 09 SB used from a dealer (non HD), so I have no history on it... as I was going over it I noticed the bolts on the fender strut seemed to be spaced out. If this isnt stock (I keep forgetting to pay attention at the dealer to see on a new bike....too easily distracted by sparkly things) I was thinking perhaps the previous owner had removable saddlebags?

Hopefully someone can tell from teh below picture - and if this is the case, what other parts would I need to put detachable bags on (other than the bags of course, even I came to that realization!).

I can zoom or take different pix if that'd help, bit of a mystery to me right now - thanks, James

I believe those are the same things I had on my fender struts on my old sporty for the detachable back rest. Don't beleive they will work for bags but dont quote me on it.

Right on, Locked. That's the docking hardware for detachable backrest.

aha, ok - I couldn't find this on the HD parts website, but I'll look at the backrest hardware (not that it does me much good, putting a luggage rack on next).

the downside of purchasing used... thanks fellas

Check around. You may be able to use the docking hardware with detachable luggage rack as well. Not sure but I believe so.
Good luck and pay attention around this place. You'll learn a lot. These guys know a lot of STUFF.

Yes you can use the same docking hardware for the detach luggage rack.

cool...or rats...since I already bought a rigid mount luggage rack ... may look into if I can use a backrest too either with the passenger pillion or just as an extra mount for luggage - definitely appreciate the replies, just looking at the hardware it didn't seem right but I wasnt sure

you mount the rigid luggage rack to your detachable backrest and you are in business!

You can also use detachable saddlebag hardware with the detachable sissybar hardware you have installed now. it would equate to adding another mounting point for the bags.

Check out Cyclevision Barebacks, Easy Brackets, Bubba's Brake detachable hardware for saddlebags.
