Gear drive cams are a good option but think about the added cost because most gear drive setups require no less than .0001" crank runout.

With a 48* intake valve closing a lot of compression will bleed off, if you don't raise the compression with those cams it will be very weak.

it is .003 runout and .001 backlash. Two indy I deal with have never come across any problem with a twin cam not being in spec for geardrive...

Andrews 54H cams, hands down.

I had the S & S 510G gear drive cams installed in March. I am running Vance & Hines BSS with quiet baffles, Vance & Hines V02 AC , PC III. The indy who installed them had trouble with his dyno for a while, so I called Fuelmoto and got a map that was close enough until I could get it tuned ( 80.13 HP 84.66 TQ ) was before the tune. Got it tuned this past week. 87.22 HP 93.69 TQ Runs really good. Everyone will have a different opinion for different reasons. Sounds like there are several that will do.

So I think I will be going with the se255's for now simply for cost and lack of other mods, when I do head work and the 103" I will prob change the cams again. My question is if Vance and Hines cant work a map for the fuel pak with these cams do I have to buy a PCV or is there a flash for stage 1 and cams? What are my fuel control options.

If you like your torque nice and early, the Andrews 21H's are great for this. I am really enjoying these cams in my Fat Bob.

i put in andrews 54h cams and they are a huge improvement over stock ....and they will work great if you do anything else to the bike...
