cracked fender, part 2

cracked fender, part 2
Just got my new front fender today. I tried to patch the old one with JB Weld epoxy. It held for about 200 miles. Dealer wouldn't let me keep the old cracked one to experiment on. Also had the rear tire replaced after 10,300 + miles. Could have gotten a few more miles out of it but rode in the rain last weekend and it got a little hairy. The KY State HOG rally is in town this weekend, expecting 2,000 to show up plus several venders. Also hot air balloons (an annual thing) and the Corvette Museum anniversary something or other is going to make Bowling Green interesting and crowded this weedend.

RE: cracked fender, part 2
they are cracking at the rear rivit and across the fender.i think what the problem is first the guage of metal is lighter then it was 10 yrs ago and i thought that was cheap at the time compared to the amf iron.2nd they have done away with the front brace to clean up appearance.
