Default Washed the bike-it runs like sh*t now

just got done with all the pc3 crap and the bike ran awesome. Took it home after a good ride and let it cool. Washed it as normal and went on a small ride headed for the store. it choked at me every time i twisted the throttle and then finally died right there in the road. I had to push it back to the house. My only thought is that i got something wet i shouldn't have. but what? I have the o2 eliminators maybe them? I have no idea and i am trying to go to myrtle beach in 2 weeks for the fall rally. if i get cought in the rain wtf do i do then? anyone ever heard of this. even better anyone have a solution? PLEASE HELP!!

Take the PC III connections loose and check for water in there. If you get moisture in those connections they go berserk. Then once you get them good and dry, (hair dryer) reassemble using a little grease around the rubber fittings in the connectors. Then try and keep water out of that area when you wash. Water under pressure from a garden hose is a whole lot different than what the bike experiences in the rain.

I have ridden through the worst rain imaginable, for several hundred miles at a time with a PCIII installed and not had any trouble.

Edit: Also check and make sure that you have installed the port plugs on the PC three. Little rubber plugs that go in the programming ports.

I know this answer won't affect any of ya'lls problems, but things like what you are describing are why I am sticking with my ol' '95 Glide, very little electronics to mess with, and carburated

You can buy some electrical grease that helps keep the water out from a auto supply store.

I'll have to get some of that and maybe duct tape the sensor eliminators.

Did you switch to an open element A/C as well?

You can clog the filter with water, preventing it from breathing. Once it drys all is OK again.

not an open element A/C the SE kit with the stock cover...it didn't seem wet. maybe though. that would be an easier fix...hope all is better for MB biketober.
