Default Roland Sands vintage apes on 09 SB

Thinking of putting the new Roland Sands Vintage apes on my 09 SB.I have a 2 inch tank lift from Jackyl installed. They offer a 17 inch version and a 12 inch version of these bars. Not sure which height im gona go with yet. Some catalogs say there actually 16 inches, which would be better because i dont want them to be too tall.Has anyone installed these bars??? Will they fit in the stock clamps? And is there enough clearance so they dont hit the tank??And what about cable length ? The brake line should be long enough but im sure the throttle and clutch cable will be too short...

Plasteredcat has the 17" (16") on his ride, I highjack this pic from his profile to show you what they look like, as you can tell he has a softy but it gives you an idea of what the bars look like.

I remember someone saying that anything over 13" requires new cables. Maybe it was 14". Not sure. Maybe somebody can confirm the exact height.

Anyway, those are nice but you'll be paying a bit for the name. Try looking at the Fred Kodlin Santee Bonanza bars II (eBay has them for $125 with shipping).

Road 6 customs makes bars that look just like the RSD, but at half the price.

check out hill country custom cycles, they sell a 15'' z bar called the bonanza bar that are 1 1/4'' dia. you can get them pre-wired with ss brake lines and cables. not really a bad deal considering you get everything needed for a custom install.

Here are my 15" Fred Kodlin Santee Bonanza II Narrow high's. I'm 6 foot and running all stock cables. I just had to move the clutch cable to the right side down tube and straightened out the 90 degree elbow in the throttle cable. No issues!! They come drilled and dimpled and only $129.
