That's what I was thinking...a think silver outline. The striper likes the look with no outline and I haven't seen it in person yet. That would be easy to do while its on the bike too.

Use another black to do the pinstrip around the letters, maybe a satin black or a pearl or metal flake........something that will be noticable but doesn't scream "here I am, look at me!!" Maybe could go bold and use the silver like you have already, but i think another black would be better.

I like that idea. What do you guys think about a circle to enclose the letters as well...yes or no?

I think, if you go with a circle around the letters, you should use a double pin stripe, thick inside circle like the stripe you have now and a thin outside circle. I don't think one circle would look right. You could even use tse the three contrasting blacks (flat, gloss and what ever you decide to use on letter edges) and see if your painter can give it a 3-D look, making it look like a badge, while still maintaining the black'd out look.

Damn I hate when I'm indecisive. The painter also said he could do the insides of the letters in silver and leave a thin black outline so it matches the line on the tank...silver inside with gloss black edge stripe.

I'm still torn on double circle or no circle. As it stands it just doesn't look quite finished to me.

Maybe some dark grey shadowing around the letters?

He just does striping and lettering so not sure if he could do any shadowing. I can ask though.

Thanks for all the input so far guys. Opinions are always welcome with me.
