Default Vance & Hines slip ons on Fat Bob

Hey guys

I'm looking at changing the exhaust on a Fat Bob, has anyone, or do you know of anyone who has put on Vance & Hines Twin Slash 3" Slip Ons? I like the way the standard exhaust looks, but are these slip ons too "skinny", or look wierd in any way? If anyone has any pics, that'd be much appreciated

Welcome to the forums!!! Google images is your friend... IMO they look weird, never liked the look of slip-ons.

I had a set on mine. I thought they looked good and sounded good. I think I have pics on here somewhere.

I was planning on selling my Rush slash down cut slipons with the 1.75in. baffle. I only used them for less than 2k miles. They look like the stock mufflers and they soon pretty good as well. Send me a pm when you go over 5 posts [I believe]or heres my email bobgv1122@verizon.net

i was thinking about going the slip-on route as well, until i could save the 800 bucks i need to a PC-V and a Thunderheader, but i went a different route...

BCT QQ baffles....ordered them on Tuesday, they were delivered yesterday and I will have them installed tonight..there is a really good vid on the forums by Maddoxx (i think that it is his name) Just search QQ Baffles Fat Bob FXDF Vid and you should find it...sounds AMAZING from the vid and you get to keep the slashed stock tommy gun look...

now if i could only get the chrome pipes painted black cheaply/quickly!

you can paint them cheaply. you can go to your local auto parts store and get exhaust paint, its like 8 bucks, or go to walmart, home depot, etc and buy some bbq grill paint. it works great and its pretty durable. you will probably have to scuff up the chrome, but i t does go on flat and does not look like it has a texture to it.

i read that the chrome had to be stripped with some acid solution....i got some BBQ paint at the house and some scotch pads...will that be good enough?
