Added HD LED Tail light to my WG
#32
When I first saw this mod for the WG I ook to see if they made something that would work on the Chopped Fender HD offers for the rest of the Dyna line up. They have one that is made for the Sportster's Chopped Fender but not the Dyna's. I think it is dumb that HD makes one for the Dyna's 9" (wide) fender and the Sportsters narrower fender, but didn't think, hey while were are at it why don't we offer one that would fit the Chopped fender we offer on the Dyna models only. My guess is that they didn't think it would sale, just another mistake the MoCo's design, marketing and sales departments have made.
I went a different route to accomplish this look. I added a LED TruFlex strip that I got from Custom Dynamics that operates as a running light, brake light and a turn signal, it is way bright!!

Decided those two tail lights weren't enough and I'd eventually get rear ended so I added the Light bar. HD part 73416-11. I havent seen anyone else post up about this mod so figured I'd show the finished product. I think it looks great on the road. Easy (10 min) install. I had to get my wife (small hands) to get underneath the rear fender to route the wires though, kinda a tight space.
I like the look.
Question- what size rear tire you running?

I put on the Great Bike Gear license plate relocator and LED turn signals from Custom Dynamics. I'm thinking about adding an LED strip on the inside of the fender or bottom of the license plate.
