Super Glide Custom (FXDC) for Touring???

Search for Bagger in the Dyna section and you will see that a few of us have converted our setups.
My girl and I just went to Johnstown for Thunder in the Valley with my new setup.
About 1 hr ride and the longest we've done this year and with this setup.
I have a the HD detachable Sport shield that is cut down and I made some clear lowers.
Mine's a Bob, but I did put Superglide shocks on it before the trip and will keep them on as it rode great with the extra travel over my stockers.
I have a Wideglide seat modded with my own backrest and padding design...fits me great.
Bags are Corbin Fleetliners...expensive, but I love them!
The bike handles great and gets almost 44 mpgs.
I even added a mudflap which helps keep road tar off the bags.

I've got my 02 FXD set up similar to Steel Steed. We've ridden two up from here to Rochester, N.Y. From here to Niagra in a day taking our time. With detachable bags, we just leave them at the hotel for our day trips then re-install to continue our trip. A bit cramped two up but would be real good solo.

No crash bar on mine, and I have heel rests instead of footboards. I have the Mustang seat with backrest and passenger pillion (pics show a sundowner seat but don't use it any more). Detatchable passenger back rest and luggage rack. I just put the Kuryakyn ultra tour bag on the back and I'm good to go.

Three best mods I've done to my Dyna where the Mustand seat with backrest, factory detachable saddle bags, and upgraded suspension. My commute is 25 miles each way and I've done several trips from Tampa to Atlanta, 500 miles. For the long trips I use the factory sport shield that HD sells for the Rocker and my Arai full face. I run 75-80 for about 7-8 hours with no problem.
