It's not just about how bright or how much light... It's also about the look, and for me, the mass.. Doesn't matter how bright it is, seeing a super bright little dot coming at you (if your in a car) isn't as easy to see as three bigger lights...
Blue lights... not for me.. http://www.danielsternlighting.com/t...ght_color.html
Just like yellow shooting glasses, yellow helps you see better. Blue produces glare.. Most street lights are yellow tint.. for a reason..

For me, the two spotlight bars are as much about aiming as anything. I am bartender and I always joke that headed to work duin rush hour like playing frogger and headed home in the middle of the night is all about watching out for deer.

Lots of deer

The spot lights are not really for illumination, they are for irritation. I point mine slightly outward so they are pointing right at drivers that may pull out in front of me. I am probably also going to install amber bulbs to be as visible as possible.

+1 on the black bar with black apes
but i am going to go with harley's black light kit. it has black buckets and chrome rings

I like to keep things HD when possible.

kurykayn clamps $160 on the internet

3 HD or equivalent halogen lamps - $200????

Auxiliary Lighting Kit - FL Softail® Models - pt #68000026 - List $200

Black Headlamp Shell - Domestic - pt #73294-10 - List $150

Those black buckets look real nice, but i'll stick with powdering the bar and side supports black since my ginormous headlight is a one piece chrome thing of great beauty and wonder, the chrome buckets and indicator mounts each side will look good (I hope....).
I got lucky with the Kury clamps, picked up a pair from a mate for 20 clams, so i only had to buy one pair at retail price. And i nabbed a wiring harness from my Indy's bits bin for 5 bucks

I have to admit so far I'm making out real well cost wise:
Softtail aux lights with indicators: 65.00
Kury clamps: 100.00
Powder coating: 50.00
Harness: 5.00

So for 220.00 clams I get my whole setup just the way I want it

Bar is going to the powder coater end of week, so i reckon in 2 weeks tops it'll all be together.

Krazy8s - sounds like the price is right. Post a pic when you get it down. I just started collecting parts. Hoping to find deals. I am doing the 7" headlight first. The rest can happen later.
