Thats a good way to lift the tires off the pavement and end up on your @ss. I know because I wrote off a bike and went *** over tea kettle (during my short road racing career). Good thing I was on a closed course and wearing leathers. Pegs, floorboards etc will all fold up to allow a bit more clearance but a primary case will not so please be careful.

Lifting the wheel off the ground SAVED my **** once...prolly should be in the confessions thread....
but I was riding with some sportbike guys and I was backing off knowing that I couldn't take corners as hot as them, but there was a curve I misjudged and didn't realize how "progressive" it was. I went in WAAAY too hot and so I was on my primary and I leaned enough to where I could go into a controlled slide on my primary to point me further in the direction I needed to go a few times. Scared the $h!t out of me and the guy behind me (on a SG) said he thought I was done.

Default Scraping

I've scraped mine a couple of times on the "Dragon" but I try not to go that fast. It's one of the main reasons I would like to have Arnott air shocks.

Default Yep me 2

I also wear this badge of honor on my primary. Kinda one of those things you do once on accident and can be proud of it later, but never try and do it again.

yeah, a few times, and have raised Street bob 1.5" in rear with fxdx shocks. Hope to become a better rider and not do it too often. Trying to lean body over more, and bike less, maybe.

My old Night Train had a scar like that on the primary. My 2011 Street Bob doesn't look like that yet. So far I have only scraped pegs and exhaust.
