I've reconsidered my opinion of attempting to snap the clutch in second to lift the front end (ever so slightly off the road).
I just installed the second throw out bearing this summer. That damn thing is so small and susceptible to failure even my Indy tells me to stay off the clutch as much as possible, including always setting in neutral, not in gear with the clutch pulled. Second time around the shaft it mounts on was destroyed. Indy tells me to get an extra throw-out, and the clutch fork and carry them for the "just in case" situation on the road.
I need another trail bike for the "off season(s)" here in MI and for farting around like pulling wheelies. I grew up on trail bikes.

i think that everyone that says get a sport bike-riceburner-street bike are rediculous, dude i dont know how to do it on yours, but all i have to do is roll 10 or so mph blip the throttle then crank it, and before i know it im on only the back wheel... on a good launch i can do it from a stop

I've witnessed both a 2012 fat bob and 2010 wide glide wheelie. It's not hard at all. The fat bob (with 103") wheelied when the rider was doing his usual holeshot. Came up about a foot.
Here's a pic of the 2010 WG:
And here's a quick video. 2010 WG wheelie (stock 96")

Whoever thinks they need a liter bike to do wheelies shouldn't give advice about riding wheelies...
Granted my sportbike is fully set up for stunt riding and I'm 13 over stock gears.. But even so I can ride better wheelies on a stock ninja250 then most Squids can on their over rated 1000's....
The streets are not the place for squid wheelies.. Anyone who really wants to learn wheelies needs to get a stunt bike or at least take it their bikes to a controlled environment and practice practice practice. Balance point is balance point no matter what the machine. The skill it takes to get a machine there and actually control it takes time and effort. Don't be a wreckless street squid, you or someone else will end up getting hurt.
I support wheelies..
