The Metzeler 880 rear in my size (180-55-18) is a radial. I have spokes and need to run tubes. Warnings are against running tubes with these radials, as heat can cause tube failure.

Is there an appropriate 880 for an 18x5.5 spoked wheel? (i.e. a bias-ply version)

How many if any people run this radial with a tube?

Alternative tire suggestions? I was really hoping to have matched 880's as I am planning to get the 120-70-21 front, but open to suggestion.

Calling around and doing some searching, it seems that many, many folks are running a tube in this tire. I ordered the tube and tire. Thanks.
