Thanks man! BTW nice sig pic, Ronnie is the man! (RIP)

panelbeater 03-17-2012 06:23 AM

I like it. Cool as shit imo

LarryLives 03-17-2012 06:45 AM

Thanks PB.

Taddeoeg 03-17-2012 07:02 AM

To my eye the fairing looks disproportionally large for the bike, but that means nothing. The only opinion that really matters is yours so if you like it you're good.

I do appreciate the work and ingenuity that went in to making it happen. Nice job.

nkauf21 03-17-2012 07:04 AM

That's pretty cool looking. You gonna put some bags on also?

Thats the one thing I hate about the pics... your right. But live in person it actually works, I suppose if there were bags and the ass end was fatter it would be filled out more... Maybe next year.
Thanks.

Bike looks great Larry.... Great job!

Love the pic also! Grew up listening to Skynyrd and always will be one of my favorites. They were one of a kind!

Good point - I hadn't considered that the angle of the pics, etc. might affect the looks. Would be cool to see it in person.

A buddy (real car nut) recently went to the local auto show and told me the new Ford Fusion is gorgeous in person - I definitely don't get that from the pics.

Hes RIGHT! The fusion is awesome! The AWD sport is sweet! Tried to get my wife into one a few months back, she likes them too, but shes not ready to part with her car yet...

nathanw 03-17-2012 07:25 AM

The color of that fairing looks sweet, I'd love to see some shots in the sunshine.

What color is it?

bucket13 03-17-2012 07:26 AM

AWESOME! I love it. I have always liked the shark nose fairing. I think it looks great. Are you running the 41mm or 49mm fork tubes?

Ill get some pics soon
Thanks

Nice work and thank you for doing it, was having thoughts about a fairing on my WG for road trips, you cured me.

biketroll 03-17-2012 09:21 AM

I like the look of it, I've been thinking about doing that myself. Have you had it on the road yet.? I was wondering how it feels compared to your stock bike.?

fella 03-17-2012 09:34 AM

I don't dislike it, I'm just not sure I like it.

Whats the difference in the ride? I'm guessing your handling hasn't changed much.

JRK5892 03-17-2012 09:44 AM

very nice man! how does it trail at highway speeds?

biketroll 03-17-2012 09:48 AM

More pics of the mount please.

I wouldn't have thought that would look good at all but looking at the pix it's not bad. From the side or rear it looks good but from the front it looks out of place (because it is :) ) but I think if you added a touring crash bar and install the corresponding lowers it will balance things out.

128auto 03-17-2012 09:55 AM

Cool! Touring dyna

rowan 03-17-2012 10:11 AM

Looks good, How does it ride/handle?

treadstone 03-17-2012 10:26 AM

I have thought about going the street glide fairing route for warmer long distance runs but I dig the road glide fairing too. How does it handle at 80mph+?

blacknsilver 03-17-2012 10:35 AM

I like it! Nice job. I would assume it handles pretty good since the fairing is mounted to the frame and not the front end.

bikerlaw 03-17-2012 10:46 AM

Wow, thats a cool combo. As a rule I don't like bat wings on Dyna's or Road Glide fairings on baggers, but this combo of the Road Glide fairing on the Dyna really looks sweet. I can't really pinpoint what I like about it, but I just do. The right bags are gonna make or break the look and flow of the bike for sure.

LarryLives 03-17-2012 10:50 AM

Thanks all! Ill get the mount pics soon, as for the ride, I dont know yet... finished it yesterday and will prob take it for a rip later! I hope.
Ill def keep everyone posted!

Gringoloco13 03-17-2012 10:52 AM

Looks good on there! Are you going to add some bags down the line?

fxdc rider 03-17-2012 10:54 AM

that looks sick! i love it

LarryLives 03-17-2012 10:55 AM

I think at some point... I have my eye on a set now, but I also have to consider the rear fender, Im gunna want a fender that flows right with the bags. Time will tell.

That's pretty much what I thought when I saw it, a set of hard bags would just about fix that though. It is nice to see something different .

NDBadlands4-2 03-17-2012 11:03 AM

I like it, nice job. A Wide Glide / Road glide you should call it the Wide Road.

emerican19 03-17-2012 11:06 AM

Interesting idea, but kind of makes my mind go to this:

I know the RG shark nose is not as popular, some love it some hate it...

oldbie 03-17-2012 06:28 PM

I like it a bunch and have been considering it. Recently missed out on a great deal on the parts. :icon_mad:

will try to post up some more pics of the bike updated.

axslingerw 03-17-2012 10:55 PM

I always prefered frame mounted fairings, but hadn't thought about the RG ones. I found an old windjammer and had it proped up in front of my superglide, but it looked aweful. This is the best looking frame mount fairing I have ever seen on a Harley. Great work!

Sling Blade 14 03-17-2012 11:04 PM

VERY NICE!

The cool thing is knowing there's not another just like it on Earth!

Enjoy! :icon_toast:
