You could get a 2010 for that price and still have a little warranty left over.

I paid 10 for mine 2 years ago with 3000 miles just the way it is, many upgrades I thought that was a good deal!

This.

The bike is way over-priced. My '09 FXDC was $9k two years ago!

I'm looking at an '07 Street Bob with about 2900 miles; asking price is $10,500. The bike is very clean with a clear title, all stock and the seller is throwing in a couple of helmets, a leather jacket, an extra seat, oil wrench and charger.

So, does this seem like a good deal?

I'd say the bike is in excellent condition and kbb says the retail price of an '07 Street Bob in excellent condition should be $10,750, so it seems like a a fair deal given kbb quote and what I've seen from other listings, but it would be nice to hear some of your thoughts as well.
Keep Shopping around, you can do much better.

I bought an 07 bob last summer, stock. Had forward controls and skull pegs. Had about 1900 miles on her and I got it for 8600.00. It did get dropped and had couple scratches on grip, mirror, and clutch. Got it off craigslist from a guy who got a job transfer and had to sell it. My dad always said if u like it and really want it, then cost should not matter. My 2 cents.... :-)

Keep in mind though, as previously stated... its riding season... you may want to shop around, but there may be some one else who thinks its a good deal... which it is... 2900 miles on an 07? that bike has barely been ridden... 5 years old... thats what? 750 miles a year? think about stuff like avg miles ridden per year... in addition to mods that may already be what your gonna put on there when your looking. My opinion... try and find one thats as close to stock as possible that way you dont have remove stuff that some else liked... my 2 pennies worth

Anyone listing a bike on CL at KBB retail that isn't willing to negotiate price is a moron. Just go offer him whatever you feel comfortable paying, and let the chips fall where they may.

The guy looking to sell his '07 isn't in any financial distress and his asking price is firm, but it still seems to be the best deal on a used Street Bob in my local area given the low miles and condition of the bike.

However, I'm now leaning more toward buying a new 2011/ 2012 Street Bob after having just finished a basic motorcycle riding course today. One of the instructors I spoke with about this situation thought it would be better just to pay the extra $1.5K - $2K to buy new and get the warranty... so I'm considering that now instead of buying used.

He seems to think I can get out-the-door on a 2012 w/ warranty at around $12K cash as opposed to $10.5K cash for the low miles '07 with no warranty... does this seem realistic to you guys? If so, I don't mind paying the extra $1.5K to buy new to get the warranty.

if you can get new for 12k I'd go for it. The MSRP for Vivid Black islisted at $12,999, Solids $13,384
10.5k for an 07 is too much
