Dual disks will be a problem if a rear wheel is used. The side that will have the pulley removed has larger bolts. The 17 inch rear Dyna rim could be re-laced to a front hub I suppose. I actually have one of each laying around but no spokes, other wise I could have laced it up to see how it looks.
100% right on the brake thing. The holes for the pulley are larger but a rotor could be drilled out. But as of right .ow my plans are to do this as cheap as possible. Costs so far fat bob triple tree $210 front axel $45 new lower neck bearing $24.
I had no problem removing my lower neck bearing and reinstalling it on the Fat Bob trees. Also, any 25mm Electra-Glide axle is the same as a Fat Bob one, I think I paid $15 on eBay for mine.
This should be fun to watch!.........keep posting here please............
Ok here's where i am. I had some time so I took the bike apart. I mocked up the forks in the new trees on the bench and put the tire and axle in place and it looks good to go. I took some pics but not sure how to put them up cn some one pm me how. I'm hoping to have trees bolted up so I can start wiring the handlebars back together by tomarrow
I actually got it all together on Friday rode it all weekend. Then I put it back to stock. It looked great I will post a pic later. everything went together great. It was 1 inch wheel spacers. I put It back to stock because it rode like a dump truck. It was fine going straight but turns we're a problem couldn't lean it through a turn. Too much of a fight. If anyone wants the trees te are for sale.
