I can take a couple pictures tonight.

Can't comment on how dry they stay inside, it's hasn't been in the rain yet. Haven't even washed it yet.

I wouldn't have asked a year ago as I'm very opposed to riding in rain and cold. Surprises me how much I've done so though. Funny thing is, the darn rain riding puts crap on the bike that rivals bug removal.

Anyway, thanks ahead for the pics. I'm an engineer, so I need to analyze every angle.

The images I posted were with the QD mounts for a sissy bar. They are out a little bit more that without hence the longer bolts.

Ride in rain all the time and never got wet inside. It would require direct high pressure on the lid tops.

No that's the rigid mount back rest slotted so it's semi quick release.Which now that you mention it might make a difference in how far they stick out.

I've heard they stick out about 1/4" with detachable hardware.

Any photos with the bags open so we can see the mounting hardware and lid latch? How rigid are the walls? Do they move around or sag at all?

TXoutlaw I have the same bags. They have always stayed dry inside when I ride in the rain. I have had mine for 3 years now. One thing though. the fake leather or what ever it is does soften in the hot weather. So you have take care pulling on the snaps when you open them.
