Ha! the Traction post was the best.
As an Electronics Engineer I can tell ya for certain, if you pull the wire and put a wet finger into the end then another onto the plug you get the best boost.
Don't forget the turn signal lube! This will prevent your bulbs from blowing out because of all the extra voltage that will be flowing through those super thick spark plug cables.
----- you risk disabling the anti-knock system by switching to non-stock plug leads (and plugs).
Could you elaborate on this subject matter a little more please. I need an education. Does changing the wires / plugs to higher performance affect the timing that much?

This will also curle your hair, fingernails and toenails.
I never see the need of bigger spark plug wires unless you upgrade ignition.
Anyone?
From an electrical point of view ( no automotive mechanic here ), upgrading any electrical device increases the dependability of that system. And probably the opperational lifespan of the system too. The theory kinda goes: Its good to have exactly what you need. But it is better to have a little more.
The only time a thicker plug wire is going to help is if the wires are over 12inches long. Thats why you see them on dragsters and racecars. Now on my chevy truck anything bigger than stock is pointless because the coils sit on top of each cylinder. Most of the coils on our bikes are pretty close to the plugs.

Unless you use ACCEL plug wires that throw check engine codes for no good reason. I asked about Twisted's a while back, and I had to cringe at the fact that I was gonna miss out on 50% more HP & TQ, I went with the Orange SE. I suppose if I had got them, I wouldn't have to get a Big Bore kit.
Ok... On a serious note I have seen a review of about 6 differing brands of spark plug leads and there is a definite difference between them all. I think that Nology wires were the best, however let me see if I can find the review somewhere.
