Used FDXWG '12
Hello guys,
I've got a shot at buying a Dyna Wide Glide '12 with barely 1k miles on it.
It’s got a couple of nice mods on it, here are some examples:
Originally it was a flame paintjob but it has since been airbrushed.
Apart from the obvious aesthetic mods there are:
Mikuni HSR42, Open Air filter.
There are a couple of cleaned out street bob pipes on there, unfortunately over here in Italy they are a bit more fiscal about the noise so if you intend to drive around in the city you are better off not rocking vance and hines or similar so this is a quite nice solution.
It’s been slightly lowered.
The guy is asking 13k € for it, a new ’12 WG would set me back 16k,7€.. to me it sounds like quite a nice deal, what do you guys think?
Keep in mind that as far as used bikes goes, I could probably find a '10 WG with around 3-4k miles on it for maybe 10k€ and then mod it up myself.
I need to give the guy an answer tonight so any thoughts would be appreciated!

I'm somewhat of a dummy when it comes to the mechanical part of the bikes..
Just out of curiosity though, why wouldn't you use it for a modern bike?

Why would anyone put a carb on this bike? "Set up right" means bring your tools or "re-jet" but EXPECT plug issues and adjustments for all your altitudes. Seriously. The whole objectivity of a NEW bike is NOT wrenching, correct?
