Default Used FDXWG '12

Hello guys,
I've got a shot at buying a Dyna Wide Glide '12 with barely 1k miles on it.
It’s got a couple of nice mods on it, here are some examples:

Originally it was a flame paintjob but it has since been airbrushed.
Apart from the obvious aesthetic mods there are:
Mikuni HSR42, Open Air filter.
There are a couple of cleaned out street bob pipes on there, unfortunately over here in Italy they are a bit more fiscal about the noise so if you intend to drive around in the city you are better off not rocking vance and hines or similar so this is a quite nice solution.

It’s been slightly lowered.

The guy is asking 13k € for it, a new ’12 WG would set me back 16k,7€.. to me it sounds like quite a nice deal, what do you guys think?
Keep in mind that as far as used bikes goes, I could probably find a '10 WG with around 3-4k miles on it for maybe 10k€ and then mod it up myself.

I need to give the guy an answer tonight so any thoughts would be appreciated!

Hard to judge the used bike market in Italy, but the owner already took the biggest hit of the depreciation, so your pretty much getting a new bike and saving 3-4K, I'd say go for it.

The bike looks great but I personally would look for something else with fuel injection that hasn't been changed. Although the HSR is a great carb I wouldn't use it on a modern bike.

Good point, I really have no experience with this so It's very hard for me to judge whether or not it's a good or bad thing for the bike.

I'm somewhat of a dummy when it comes to the mechanical part of the bikes..
Just out of curiosity though, why wouldn't you use it for a modern bike?

If it's set up right, the carb is no problem. Sounds like a good deal to me. Beautiful bike.

I'll see if I can get some better pics up of it later on tonight, in the meantime I'd love to hear more about the carb.

Thingfish;
Care to elaborate on what you mean by it being set up right?

I really only have experience with fuel injected harleys.

Why would anyone put a carb on this bike? "Set up right" means bring your tools or "re-jet" but EXPECT plug issues and adjustments for all your altitudes. Seriously. The whole objectivity of a NEW bike is NOT wrenching, correct?
