I rode mine at the stock height for 3 years or so till I lowered it last year. It rode perfectly fine.

I'm with everyone else on that, a 21" front won't raise the bike at all. Sits exactly the same.

I would also recommend not lowering the front either; rides like crap. I've had my front dropped 2 inches for about 2 years now (sig pic), finally put it back to stock yesterday.

If you lower the front just don't lower it 2 inches. Use a 2 inch spacer instead of a 1/4" or whatever it is for a 2 inch drop and it will lower it an inch and it will ride fine.

I have a 21" up front and got rid of my 11" rears and put 12 inch touring air shocks keeping the front lowered with a 2 inch spacer and the frame is perfectly level with the ground and I can still play in the twisties.

If you get the progressive lowering springs up front they come with the kit. If you get them used or don't have them just buy Schedule 40 PVC pipe and cut it. The guys I bought my lowering spring from had his bike slammed so I just ran to home depot and bought the PVC to raise it back up.

i run a 21, 11in shocks in back, 1.5 drop in front... just fine and frame rails are level to the ground... nice set of metzlers, damper, and new motor mounts i can rip twisties with my scoot

I'm only going to do it if my rim lifts the front high but from what people have said it won't, we will see.

Agree with JaronB If you're wanting to drop the front, go with progressive, they offer a couple affordable kits they make it an easy switch.
