I'm running one. I ended up splicing the extension the provide instead of using the connectors they send you. In was a pain in the *** trying to get them crimped properly. I e spoken to DK about it and he mentioned offering a kit without the connectors that may reduced the cost a bit. He had great customer service and I would ask him about a kit without the connectors to save some cash. I remember him saying that that was most of the expense of the kit.

It's actually cooler because it is out in the wind instead of in that relatively dead area behind the rear cylinder. Does not really matter much to the coil though, they are pretty sturdy.

What is nice is that you get better air flow around the rear cylinder for a little better cooling.

Yes, we came out with the DIY kit that provides the wires already in a loom, for those who would rather solder than use the waterproof weahter-pack connectors. Click HERE for the DIY kit.

Figured I should update this thread...

Installed my kit and it was real simple. Cut, solder, heat shrink, extend.

I think I left the plug wires about 1/2" too short though. They fit, but they're kinda pulling at the spark plug boot. I might order some new ones and cut them longer for some peace of mind.

I went with one of their horn & coil kits & opted to solder rather than use the connectors, however I didn't like the look of the coil between the jugs so then re-located it to the front fork tubes, very good kits though !

This is what I decided to mount to the old horn mount ;

Got this on mine as well. I also soldered all my wires. It's a great kit.

My buddy is considering chopping his horn mount. I can pm you when and if he makes up his mind. Maybe we can do a swap.
