Damn...so I never noticed how crappy the stock tires are on my FB! For 1700 miles now, they have performed flawlesly in the tight and on the slab! Don't know about ware or wet, but I would replace them with stock tomorrow if I had to. Let me qualify this statement...I don't ride close to the edge some of you!

My drag rep came in last week and told me he is absolutely thrilled with the 888's on his road glide he said they grip so much better than the MC2s but no info on milage yet he just had them put on but being that metzler is going to replace the 880s with these as there flagship tire it will be interesting as I just ordered some 888 MU85s to replace the 880s I just sold for stock. I would put the 888s on my bike now if they only offered them in my sizes for my fxr

I like the Dunlop 402's traction and sidewall strength but wanted a few more miles out of the tread. I purchased the Dunlop 404 which does not have the Harley Logo on the sidewall for my FXR, they had a little less grip as the tire compound was harder but they lasted longer. Tread pattern is almost the same as the 402 but seems to be mirror image. I would purchase the 404's before I purchase another set of MC II's

Michelin Commander II's
I have used 2 rear and 2 front Michelin Commander II's. The rears got 13,000 miles and 11,000 miles. The first front got 13,000 miles and the second is still good to go at 11,000. I have used Dunlop K591's, Metz 880's, and Pirelli Night Dragons all at 6,000 to 8,000 miles (rears). I generally run my tires at max PSI. I've tried nitrogen with no apparent effect on mileage but it does appear to hold proper inflation. My bike is an '07 Dyna FXDC that I bought new. It now has 99,000 miles. I've put some tires on it. I ride in East Texas-hot,cold,wet and dry. I ride solo and semi aggressively. All of those tires get slippery when it's wet but the Michelins last the longest. I wish Michelin would offer the II in a 180/17 though.
