How far can you go with an 88 build

My Harley will never go as fast as the money I spend on it. I can't make up my mind either. 88" 95" 97" 98" without splitting the case. Could buy an SE crank and build a 103" 106" 107" without any machining of the cases. That may be my limit cost wise. The 97" is probably the biggest bang for the buck. Never going to be the fastest anyway, but then what's wrong with faster than most. Decisions, decisions. My Indy really wants to build me a 124". Lots more money.

To get bigger than a 95-98 you will need to split the case.
Bore on a 88 is the same as a 96, if I remember right the 95 bore is the same as a 103. Don't hold me to it though.
For serious power and money wise I would think a 120r is your best bet.
To do what you want you need to save for a while.
A ss106 is strong but for your bike it could end up costly.
If I were going to that I would go ahead and do a 113 or 117 or 120.
got to spend some serious money on the above builds to make it worth while.
I finished a 113 in a 05 super glide, it wasn't cheap. I spent more on the engine than I did for the bike.
