Both injectors flow at a rate of 3.91 gm/sec., I do believe.

It is my understanding that the difference is in the spray pattern.

I don't know anything about inline capasitors, but,

With the SERT, you don't have to fool anything.
Simply adjust the fuel up or down.

Daniel, As mud has said the difference being is the spray pattern. The Number 8* has 3 outlet holes and atomizes the fuel at a narower (sp) angle. The 25* has 6 outlet holes which results in a wider spray and better fuel atomization.
Other members have had good results by changing the stock 8* injectors to 25* purchasing a SERT and the using a 8* map to run on the richer side of the canned map. using the 25* map with 25* injectors is still leaner than using the 8*.
Of course the whole reason behind all of this injector swapping is related to a stage 1 upgrade. Air cleaner, Pipes / slip ons and remapping the ECM.

Thanks for the info dynaflyer,I asked because i race a yamaha banshee 4 wheeler on a 300 ft track, and i have seen guys bring those fuel injected 600 honda crotch rockets with a banshee rearend under them,to the track with no muffler and race them for 3 or 4 years and believe me they punish them and seem to never have a problem with mapping.
