Most cost effective way to run 16 inch front wheel on SB 2011
I really want a bigger front wheel on my front end . Do I have to change out the triple trees etc. when I do this. I am wanting to run a 16 inch front wheel and tire. thanks for any suggestions and input. I am not new to bikes or mods but not sure how to go about this one.

Fat Bob trees, FXDF or FLH axle and a 16 inch wheel with bearings to match your axle (1 inch or 25mm axle will fit your forks). Keep your brake rotor, caliper and spacers. If you use a Fat Bob fender, you would have to redrill the mount holes. I did this to my Street Bob in my signiture picture and to my kid's Nightster. Here is a picture of the Nightster.

I bet the bigger tire will make the bike handle very nicely (not that it doesn't already). Why not find a set of stock rims for the Street Bob and use the front hub and rear rim and wire it up for the front of your bike, then you can run the 17" in both spots without making it look a little odd with the 17" out back and 16" up front. It's just my opinion, just seems like it might look strange with the smaller rim (not tire) up front, I could be wrong.
