I wanted to ask what the difference is between the 2014 and 2013 Wide Glides?

Retail Price on 2013 is: $14.999 and the 2014 is: $15.799

What am I getting for the 800 bucks difference?

I think ABS is standard on the '14s.

 

The 2014s hav ABS standard now pluse a new year so that's why it was such a big price jump. I just got a new 2013 this weekend and got a great deal. I waited for the 14s to come out but didn't like any of the color schemes and was lucky to get a great deal.

The security system is no longer a required purchase with ABS though, it still costs extra.

 

Doesn't ABS make handlebar changes more complicated?

 

Gotta be the abs (as others stated) and inflation from last years price. Anyone glad they don't have abs? I am!

Wonder how ABS will hold up after 60k miles.

 

It's been available on touring bikes for years and cars for way way longer. Probably just fine.

 

I don't think I'd be at all concerned about the durability of the ABS system. I think rear wheel ABS at least would be nice. I don't think I could lock my front brake if I tried, at least not on dry pavement.
