I must say, even though it doesn't have a fairing, you got a sharp bike

Just think how badass that bike would look with a matching, two-toned/pinstriped quarter fairing would look!

On second thought, keep it like it is, that would look too hot!

I had a 08 ultra classic now i know thats a big fairing but i hated that bike after just a few rides so i sold it. That was my first and only scooter with a fairing. Now i like to get me a new road king but that damned windsheild would become a birds nest in the barn along with the floor boards and that goofy shifter. i guess i am just stuck in the fact of 42 years of riding in the wind i dont know any better.

I too like 'being in the wind' but when my average speed is 50-60 and with regular blast up to and past 100mph, some fairing is most appreciated. My 7" headlight Triumph carries a tall flyscreen Givi A200. Next step in the near future this season will be a painted to match F-15.

For the XL1200 and the FXDL, the options seem to be the factory, Gauntlet, AN 1/4 fair and the Rifle line with all comimg in with a $300+ price point. Now at the $300 price, the Rifle Roadster turns my crank and especially with the choice of screen sizes. I can start with the 15" sheild for travel protection and then change out to the bubble for summer. I will keep my QR HD Compact windsheild for cold weather.

Now, please excuse me here but aren't fairing something to tuck in behind. WTF is this tall T-bar behind a 1/4 fairing all about. Is it a SOA look or something?

One of the things that stops me from putting a fairing on is the cost of getting the fairing painted, I'm sure it wouldn't be cheap.

I've had my Rifle 15" Roadster since 2010- no problems, doesn't fade, sturdy, and really like it.

dont waste your money on the rifle. it is a flimsy cheap piece of crap for what you pay for and has the worst mounts of all the quarter fairings ive had. the lower mount on mine below the headlight split the fairing in half and broke off going down the freeway. not a fun situation.
