Not to sound like an ass but how about you change the bulb. I haven't done it yet but I know I've read about people putting in a brighter bulb

If your bike takes an H4, you could try a a 100/80 watt bulb. Stock is a 60/55. At NAPA, it's part # BP1210H4, $9.50.

I was disappointed with the brightness of the headlight on my SG as well. When it blew out on my way home from work recently, I stopped into a automotive parts store and got one of the most expensive direct replacement bulbs they had, around $50, and was very surprised and super pleased with the serious increase in brightness it provides. |

As I am sure you know, one needs to upgrade the bulb socket pigtail to handle the extra current pulled by the higher wattage bulbs or you may fry the OEM socket/wiring.

Check and adjust the beam adjustment, my headlight was pointing to the sky when my bike was delivered.

I installed a 50 watt BiXeon 6000K bulb in mine and holy crap !!! what a difference it made.
