Well the local dealership called late this afternoon that the parts came in. It makes the big city dealer look bad when they cannot get the parts to me overnight on the bus and the local dealer got the parts in from the warehouse a couple thousand miles away first.

Anyway I really like the sound not too loud has a nice deep tone to it. I see they make the bike shake more. I just started it up for a bit after the install and I see the bars and such shake quite a bit more now. I put that up to the factory system is rubber mounted so it will flex with the motor where as the V&H pipes are mounted solid to the frame. This takes away from the engine being rubber mounted and now the pipes are trying to hold it firm. I actually seen a post on a guy that was taking off his short shots and found the mount was cracked in half. Something to keep an eye on for us with this system. Anyway here are a couple of quick cell phone pics that show the pipes and that rack bag I picked up.

Super08, 2 into 2 exhaust really changes the Low Rider appearance. Glad the parts finally came in. Looks good!

Having the exhaust ridgedly mounted to the frame, with an engine that shakes, can't be good for the weakest link...I'd expect it to fail, sooner or later.

Can an "ugly stick" be modded and used?

On another note, I removed my black upper belt guard as it rubbed in the front when I put lowered shocks on. Been sitting here on my parts bin for 20 years...

Looks good. The other option of course is to spend $20 - $30 on etch primer plus paint and change the look of the offending chrome article. Depends on cost and availability of the replacement item which I understand is about $170. Biggest problem with the job is removing the front bolt!!! Here is my painted version:

couldnt agree more with that, my front bolt litterally snappd loose i thought for sure it broke but was just all the factory loc tite breaking! yea it listed for $159.00 from my dealer but i get 15% off all HD or screamin eagle items and got one of those hd visa cards so turnd in my points so i only ended up paying $75.
those HD visa cards and dealer discount is the best thing ever! cant believe more people dont have them. same thing when i got a nightstick with open endcap that only cost me $78
