Remote monitor for TTS
Hi All
I'm looking for suggestions for setting up a remote monitor for vtuning, particularly from anyone who has had problems and managed to sort them.
I usually use a laptop in a backpack and I've tried
an ipad with air display app and a wireless connection (signal jams up intermittently at end of transfer of data packets - multiples of 100 recorded on Total Hits, and jams up pc)
Teamviewer app on ipad - same problem
Mimo remote monitor with usb cable - same problem (not as often) and also occasional permanent loss of image on monitor but continues recording on pc
Any suggestions for solutions to any of these problems or other methods I haven't tried?
Thanks

ditto.. I use a 9" Windows 7 tablet for my tuning and works out perfectly. USB connections are not a tight fit to begin with so take a pair of pliers, squeeze together the top and bottom of the silver USB connector that plugs into the laptop to ensure a tight fit. Once I did this.. never had issues again.

To me anything on a motorcycle should have none moving parts (best case scenario). Tablets/iPads could work great but you do run into the connections.
Right now I am using a Mac Book Air (running Windows 8 on Parallels) which is working very well. No moving parts on the MBA and solid USB connections. I use InsomniaX to disable to sleep modes.
Hope it helps.

i bought this thing used for about $350 (and a vesa mount for it) specifically for this purpose. Was tired of fooling with laptops when tuning. Wiped it, put windows 7, office 2010, adobe reader, and TTS on it. Also bought a wireless mouse, keyboard, and usb HUB since it only comes with 1 USB port.
It's a Motion CL900.
here's a couple of pics of the way it's mounted..

I don't know much about Mac and I'm already fightin' off brain overload with TTS.
I'll look at a bit of this other stuff first.
Thanks
