Default ignition switch/wiring problem 2001 RKC

I am having an unusual electrical problem on our 2001 Road King Classic. We have been having intermittant failures on the ignition circuits. Now when you turn the ignition switch to the accessories position the fuel pump runs and the oil pressure light goes on. The starter switch click a relay but does not run the starter (and it should not in the accesories position). The fuel pump and oil pressure light should not come on in the accesories position, and never did before.

I pulled the ingition switch and check it with a multi meter and it seems to work correctly. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like you switched a couple of wires around when you pulled the switch for testing.
What does it do in the ignition position?

Ignition Relay may be sticking. Try using the starter relay in its place (don`t connect the suspected stuck relay to anything).

Try switching the key switch ignition relay with the stop lamp relay.
Is your ignition switch on the dash/tank.

Thanks for the responses. You can't really switch the wires in the switch. they are in a harness plug that plugs onto the ignition switch. I am thinking the power relay may be the problem. I could try to swap one of the other relays as suggested as the are all basically the same. I think I am just going to stop by the dealer tomorrow and pick one up if they have it in stock. A bad relay could explain a lot of the strange intermittant problems we have been having.
