Man, I had to walk away from it yesterday and drink a 6 pack to relax...that black tray where the other half sits kicked my behind. I'll try again today, thanks. Do you have the schematics for that one plug?

thanks again ,
Joe

The connector is a Deutsch style connector, I was reading other posts earlier, surprised that no one corrected me. What year is the bike?

No worries Zanthamos, I appreciate the help. It is a Deutsch no doubt. Before I bother I looked in one book that I have and learned about the myriad of connectors (deplhi, metripak, etc), but this one I cannot separate it from the plastic back tray the other half is sitting on.
it is an 06 1200 XL Low.

Taking another look at the picture, looks like there is a retaining tab on the back of the connector, a small flat blade screwdriver should be able to press it down and it should slip out of the back side of the black bracket.

So looking at the schematic for the main harness on Ronnie's I noted that this connector is from the left hand controls which would explain the horn as well.

Is this an 883 low converted to 1200? Maybe it is the CM VIN , the only 1200s are CL or CG VIN.

Bingo! Now I see why the module is not there and there is the other half of the Deutsche instead. The manual that I looked up shows the module and the connector to the controls only, so that explains it. I was lost and blaming it on my degrading vision.
So tge anseer is that It might be a converted 883 to 1200, bro it all makes sense now. You Da Man!

I see the tab behind it, so I'll work on it once I get home. Thanks for taking the time man, much appreciated.

Zanthamos,
it was a broken connection on the Deutsche connector pin. Thanks a lot for your help!

Ride safe,

You are spot on, I found the broken connections. Everything works as supposed to.
