yeah every time you hit the RUN switch you can hear it whirring

now you got me confused. Here’s nothing else that makes the whirring sound when the switch is in the start position. Is there ?

Find your VIN number what are the 3 letters after 1HD1? Seems to be some discrepancy here.

so after not being able to find the flipping fuel pump on the diagram or in person - the gremlin has been found.

After having taken half the bike apart with all the lights and auxiliaries off. Replaced the circuit breaker and the starter relay. Tested the battery and it clocked in at 6.1v 🤦‍♂️ Then after putting everything back found a short in the left rear integrated blinker connection at the taillight. So I reckon that 6.1v was enough for instrument panel LEDs and the high beam ??? Apparently low beam sucked more power (both LEDs). So f-ing dumb. Fixed the short, reached the fuses. Battery is on a charger. Hopefully I didn’t kill it completely. Either way. Holy crap!!! Lesson 1. Test battery voltage first

oh and the whirring was the Speedo setting itself 🤦‍♂️
