I know these are uncorrected #'s and I know of all the talk about his Dyno but that's a big difference. The torque curve is much improved between 2000 and 3200 rpm and that's what I was hoping for. So I'll ride it hard this summer and have some fun.
The only thing that counts is it runs good and you're happy with it. Dyno numbers are just that, some numbers. We all know Joe has a magical dyno.

Sounds like Joe did a baseline run, so the gains are real on his dyno. Magical dyno or not it sounds like some good improvements were made.

OP, any chance you can post a sheet?

looks like a smooth curve to me..nothing to be ashamed of there!.. I went with a hillside motor/joes tune combo, and couldn't be happier for my 117..Amazing what a great tune does to a motor huh?.. Have close to 25k on her now and runs perfect...Ride her and enjoy

Pulls strong 3200rpm and up but seemed lazy to me down low so I sent it to Joe's cycle for him to tune in hopes he can wake it up a little.
Curious as to the pipes you are using?

Default re-tune

After riding as many miles as I could everyday after work it was apparent that engine tune had issues.Brought bike back to Joe's Cycle for a re-tune yesterday. Bike idled rough especially on cold starts. Between 3 and 4 thousand rpm and just cracking the throttle slightly engine ran real rough. If you rode it hard it ran good. Fuel mileage was bad (114 miles on 4.17 gals. on the ride to Joe's). It also occasionally spits through the throttle body after down shifting and getting back on the throttle. Not sure if this is solved. Joe was able to smooth out the problem between 3 and 4 thousand rpm and improve fuel consumption now getting 35 mpg on the way home (119 on 3.4gals.). Idle is improved slightly. He says he cant take out any more fuel for fear of running lean and running hot. After bike reaches 208 degrees idle is better but still to rough to my liking. I'm also feeling like the woods 8-6 cam might not be the cam for me doesn't bite hard enough below 4 thousand rpm imho. Might have to change cams this winter. LOL

By winter if u r switching cams pm me as I'll buy your 8-6. Always wanted to try them. Or if your compression is 10.5 I could swap u for my 777 which are great and good down low. Just a thought pm me if u still want to change up by winter.
BTW what was the reason for the super high idle?
