Safe/Reliable 120R Upgrades Proof/Opinions
I have about 10K on my 2013 model 120r and would like to do an upgrade this winter. I still tour with this bike so I can't be too radical of an upgrade. I've read a simple compression bump and cam change will give me a nice increase and some say the 124 is a good upgrade as well. Again, I need to keep reliability. I currently run a stock HD120R, 58SETB, 5.3 injectors, tuned with a SE Super Tuner. Any proof and opinions would be much appreciated.

Following is a list of things done to the 120R in my 2014 SGS. Engine is rock solid since it was built.
1) SE roller rockers
2) Wood lifters
3) Offset rocker support plate
4) Cometic .030" head gaskets
5) Exchanged SE triple valve springs for dual springs
6) High output starter
7) SE variable clutch
8) Rerouted oil blow-by tubes to external catch can
9) JAGG 10-row fan-assisted oil cooler
10) V&H High-Output ProPipe
11) Same air and fuel intake as yours
12) Dyno tuned of course
ETA 13) SE +1.5 quart oil pan
1) SE roller rockers
2) Wood lifters
3) Offset rocker support plate
4) Cometic .030" head gaskets
5) Exchanged SE triple valve springs for dual springs
6) High output starter
7) SE variable clutch
8) Rerouted oil blow-by tubes to external catch can
9) JAGG 10-row fan-assisted oil cooler
10) V&H High-Output ProPipe
11) Same air and fuel intake as yours
12) Dyno tuned of course

The 120R is a reliable motor however 2 improvements should be considered immediately...
TWO of the known weak links were as follows..
Dual Valve Springs are to heavy...consider the AV&V 6500 beehive springs....
The SE lifters have been know to grenade so a quality set of lifters should be added...

ETA Dyno'ed at 1,000 miles. Engine was just starting to loosen up. Need to do it again. Want to get 150tq out of engine.

The 120R is a reliable motor however 2 improvements should be considered immediately...
TWO of the known weak links were as follows..
Dual Valve Springs are to heavy...consider the AV&V 6500 beehive springs....
The SE lifters have been know to grenade so a quality set of lifters should be added...

From the factory, 120R valve springs will work on a blown top fuel engine. Do not need that much seat pressure on a street engine.

Wood 9B cams....HUGE torque increase even at the advertised 10.5 cr.
S&S lifters.
T/header will pinch the peak hp, but will push the low-mid up in that size engine.
