The lower tube is too long and won't slide up far enough to access the adjuster. The lower tube is flared for the O-ring so cutting it down is not an option. S&S says "1984-'99 style pushrod covers are required for access to the Quickee Adjustable Pushrod adjusters in 2007-'12 big twins."

Since you have the rocker boxes off why don't you adjust the pushrods without the tubes then reinstall them with the tubes on

That's a thought, but if I ever needed to go back in or make an adjustment I would be pulling tank and valve covers

Everything went back together smoothly and it's starting to look like a bike again

Ended up going with the SE push rod tubes already powder coated black, there was plenty of room to adjust the S&S Quickees

Engine is basically together, ready to prime and fire up. Finished up with the primary over the weekend and buttoned it up Tuesday night. Installed a 30 tooth trans pulley, Barnett clutch and billet basket, and a SE compensator with a Game Changer sprocket. During the waiting time I decided to go ahead and convert to hydraulic clutch and run everything internal in the bars since I been piecing stuff together for that project for a while now, so I have to get that finished up. Decided to scrap the Rineharts and go with a Rush Wrath. Also decided to work with Daren at Sheffer Performance for the tune. Nothing real interesting happening until I get her fired up.

Not yet, should be getting it to tuner in the next couple of weeks, life keeps showing up putting the bike on hold.
