Default Big bore kit

i have an 08 sg with 45,000 miles on it and it runs like brand new.... I was thinking of doing a 107 kit from either fuel moto or dragos this winter .. with the mileage I have should I be worried about the bottom end?

i currently have se 204 cams true duals and a power vision with target tune and made 92hp and 103 tq

really depends on how far its out right now (runout wise)the degree of the 107" build and how it will be ridden.if the run out is OK,your doing a mild 107" and it will be ridden faily soft, you should be fine.if its going to be a fairly or very aggressive build, ide think about doing the lower end too

I learned my lesson, i will never get a big bore upgrade without getting some crank work done. I ride harder than most though. I have a 107 w/ 112hp/126tq. When she is running, i love it. I rode one trip and started making noise with 4 hours to go, made it home but has been down for various reasons since. I will never go cheap on a build ever again, it's a coin flip. It's the weak link!

Well don't keep us in suspense, what happened? Did your crank scissor?

I'm in the same boat. I'll have between 75 and 80K by the end of the season. Would love to have the heads done and a bump in compression but its running great and my gut tells me to leave it alone until the lower end needs work.

partbof me says just leave it alone as well it runs perfect

I just priced a 2018 and by the time I'm done I'll have 50k Canadian tied up and I just can't see that happening

You are in the same area as Head-Quarters-Doug Coffee is one of the best in the biz. If you do your own labor, you can have his 107-PK kit for less than a grand.

I just installed a 107 kit in my 07 EGC at 80K. Have about 2K on the new top end now. It was a 103 with heads / cams from about 15K.. It's had over 100 pulls on the dyno when I was testing different mouse cams.. I've checked the comp side run-out and it was about 0.004.. I didn't check the pinion side but pulled the cover to look at the tensioner.. The zippers tensioner showed very little wear (been in since about 35K) so I buttoned it back up..
