Won't start
 

85 Harley. xls Roadster 1000 Ironhead
My 85 Harley Roadster turns over but won't start. Riding one day, everything ok, next day won't start. Engine turns over but won't fire. Plenty of gas.(even trid a shot of starting fluid) No spark at plugs. (new plugs) changed out coil to new one, still no spark. Any ideas on next step or what to try, any suggestions/help will be appreciated.

Sounds like your cam sensor or your points if you're running points.

No points and do you mean the Barometric sensor near the battery box ? how do i test it ?

these model years has issues with the ignition module. sometimes it will show up on the back as a burn or swollen spot. replace with aftermarket. i use the ultima or the compu-fire but there are others.

I did not notice i had rolled the page down to another guys problem which i did not read right i am still trying to fix mine.
