I had a 124 s&s come in the shop with no oil pressure when I disassembled the pump this is what I have found I have never seen this before. I've searched closely throughout the engine as best as possible and have found nothing to cause this. There is a very fine metallic and the bottom of the case but obviously that is from the shaft moving around inside the gear
I hate to put this together with a new pump and find out there is another reason it is very obvious something had to jam it up
