spacer between compensator nut and rotor??
I have n early 1984 FLTC tour glide classic that im working on when I took the primary apart there was no spacer between the compensator nut and rotor? this bike has been rebuilt before so I cant base if that's factory or not? there was one between the rotor and main gear which I know is a must.My manual does not state if one is needed or not? what I want to find out is it required to have one between the compensator nut and rotor? I know they are needed for proper alignment of the primary chain mine seems to be good without one, I have heard some have bottomed out the compensator nut when torqued down if one was not used, is it a must regardless to have one between rotor and compensator nut??

Spacer under nut was used on older bikes but not in 84...check out the parts breakdown on Ronnies online.
