It stopped raining after raining nearly everyday for a couple months. Weather is nice for the last few days, so there is no way I am tearing the bike down and instead have been riding. I keep thinking of anything else to mess with while it is down, but it really is just the forks, tires, and finally getting the brake upgrades on.

There is a slight seeping at the top of the primary, but it is so minor that it isn't worth messing with although it does seem weird to be seeping out of the top.

Engine is perfect and is exactly like I want it. Still stunned by the results from the refresh a couple of years ago.

I was able to verify my speedometer accuracy using my cheap phone mount and it is fine. Speedometer shows 70 when GPS shows 68 so that is close enough and the error is in the preferred direction.

I checked mine last year and it is a consistent 4 mph off no matter what speed I'm going (at least to the speeds I tested it at).

At an indicated 70 I'm actually doing 66.

Make sure you resurrect this thread when you start your project please!!!!!!

You are going to be shocked at how much of a difference it makes in the front end. I am still scrounging up money to buy some rear shocks for my dyna (they are expensive and I am apprehensive about buying them)

I went with Works Performance light duty shocks in my Heritage a couple of years ago after going through a couple of sets of progressives. Works has been great plus they are rebuildable. They cost a lot more than progressive but they ride good and are lasting with no problems.

I've been eyeballing the hagon Nitros and the works black trackers. The thing I like about the hagon shocks is that they are stainless which is great for me here in Florida because everything rusts and I am in a constant state of changing out parts for cleanliness
