Not commenting on any specific suggestions, but my only observation from last year was that I wish it had gone on longer. Show up, have a beer, have a sandwich, pass out the door prizes, then next thing you know everyone is saddling up and heading out.

It would be nice to have a camp ground (or something like that) to hang out, sit around the fire, tell lies, knock back some brews, etc.

Maybe the Spring River Rock Fest thing gets that done? Don't know.

Also, I do kind of hesitate to chime in, since the odds of my being able to make it are (like last year) somewhat low and the matter probably won't be settled until a week or two beforehand. IOW, just ignore me, since it's better than even money I won't make it anyway.

Also March/April is kind of pushing the season up here.

Anyway, just some thoughts...

I agree. Other than meeting Schex and riding in with him, Lady Schex, and Wolf, by time I ordered my food and started eating, there wasn't enough time to put faces with names and shake hands, without interrupting conversations.
It was a great ride over and back just would have liked to actually meet people.

While I'm in favor of the campground thing I'm not in favor of joining another event as the point of this was to meet each other not meet a random group of strangers.

Personally I'l like a meet up mid to late May somewhere near the Sisters.
Get up Saturday morning, find breakfast then ride the Sisters stopping for lunch and beer.

Hopefully Owtlaw will chime in with his thoughts.
