When adding transmission oil my oil tank level increases.
So I've got an '84 flhtc. Last week my I realized my clutch pushrod bearing got destroyed from low transmission oil. Thought it was coming out through the top of the cover where the stud goes into the housing. Mine doesn't have the oil seal and bushing. After fixing it thought all was good until after a ride I checked the transmission fluid level and it was down again, but there was no visible leaks. I proceeded to add more tranny fluid, but it would disappear and not stay up to level. I then checked my oil tank and as soon as I removed the cap it was spilling over. Now as I realize somehow the tranny fluid is going into the oil tank, that I've been wondering why the oil level had seemed higher then when I changed it a month ago.
What the hell is going on??? I've searched for similar situations, but haven't had much luck finding anything. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I would greatly appreciate it.

Which primary/clutch configuration do you have, early or late `84?
The only way for transmission oil to get to the primary would be through the pushrod hole in the mainshaft. There is no oil seal between the primary cover and the transmission.
Make sure the transmission vent is not blocked and the transmission is not overfilled.
