Very quick turnaround from Axtell on the cylinder boring, literally ONE day. I've never had a machine shop turn work that fast! I've also got an Ultima ignition module that'll require a little rewiring to get done. Over the coming weeks I'll be putting it all back together. My garage isn't air conditioned so it's not the most fun to be working in but I wanna get this done so I'll power thru.

Just go to wallinworld and buy a cheap air conditioner. Why suffer. Third time’s a charm, right?

Crossed my mind that's for sure. Considering the size of my garage, and that fact that the whole door is facing east and get to a laser measured 140F in the mid morning from the rising sun, I'd have to do some math to get the correctly sized one. There is a window in the garage, maybe a large window unit would work?

I know, right?

At least this time I'm really knocking things down to earth, and tweaking the timing to go along with it. Lemme get it all broken in and reliable, then I'll build the power back up.

No pressure but I can’t wait to see a video of this beast off a stop. No need to burn rubber or the clutch. Just a perfect launch. I do this when the coast is clear. Quick rev to three gran a quick slip on the clutch. 123GO!!!!!!!!
No pressure

Getting things back together, but being a LOT more meticulous about it. For starters, knowing EXACTLY what my compression ratio is

Finding TDC:

Using a depth gauge to see how far under the deck the piston is

Silly putty in the valve relief, then put in the burette for volume

Burette, 100ml. Got it on Ebay for like $20

Head Gasket thickness

And checking the combustion chamber volume. FWIW, dead nuts on the money from the build sheet from Hammer, 91cc

Drumroll.......................................... ..................

I also installed an Ultima 53-644 ignition module, but didn't take any pics. Perhaps by the weekend I'll be under power again. We'll see.

If those are flat top Pistons, which they appear to be in the pic them the Pistons would be +1.5 cc for the valve reliefs...

You may have issues with pinging, Matt. Those heads don't give you much of a squish band, do they?

Yes, you're correct on the volume, but the cavity from the valve reliefs warrants a negative value in that cell. Notice the calculator is calling it "Dome volume", hence the negative value. Back with my old pistons I used +6 since the domes displaced 6cc over the top of the piston crown.
