Default What to do with the speed sensor on 98 RG?

I am in the process of upgrading my suspension and brakes on my 1998 Road Glide. I am adding ohlins cartridges and Ohlins rear shocks from Motorcycle Metal. I am also upgrading the fork sliders from an 06 and swingarm from an 07. With this change I will now be running 1" axels and going with brembo brakes

So my problem is what to do with the mechanical speed sensor? I though about machining down part of the axel to allow the speed sensor to keep working but it appears that sensor is wider than I tough and it use to rest inside the hub of the front wheel and the tab on the sensor rested on the brake rotor.

Please let me know of any ideas to correct my issue.

Thanks

i thought 98 baggers all ran a trans-mounted electronic drive (at least my 98 FLHR does)?

no no no... The '98 Road Glide FLTR, FLTRI, has the front wheel driven unit and a cable to the speedo. I might know, I own one!

Do a search here in EVOLAND for "Brembo conversion" for what some of us here have done.

Unless things have changed a lot you will get a better result if you google instead of using the search on this site.

I went into Ronnies Fiche and they showed a speed sensor in the trans so I thought it was good. Like my Fatboy. However they did not post a part number. So I checked the front wheel and yes there it was... One would have thought It would have been a sensor...
Thanx for the correction Beemer...

I’m hopping someone has done this before and has some pictures to share.
