Default Secondary oil filter trouble

Hi, im new and trying to figure out how the heck to loosen that slotted set screw in the crankcase to get to the secondary oil filter! I dont have any slotted drivers that big.

They actually make a tool for that. It fits in the slot and has a hex nut on the end so you can use a socket or a wrench.

When I finally got mine out a replaced it with a different style that has a hex on the top.

it's called a drag link socket

What makes it EVO specific? I would think they'd fit any cone motor - Shovelhead or EVO.

I would think that the tool would be, but I'm unsure of the threads on the cap.

Be very careful putting the new one in. You can strip it very easily. Depending on the condition of your tappet screen, you might wanna replace it and the spring. Brake cleaner usual cleans it up nicely.
