Bothers I need help.
I have a 1990 ElectraGlide Classic I an restoring & have run into a snag. The previous owner replaced the bearing on the bearing in the inner primary case & butchered it. IDK if he didn't use a bearing & seal driver of if he just missed & took a chunk out of it. But she leaks like a knucklehead! I've been to the HD dealer & they are no help (they told me it's 60612-86) & ronnie's fiche has nothing for this model 87-90. I've seen many on ebay from other models like FXRL FXRX with 60612-90 numbers & others with similar part numbers but no exact match. Knowing how HD loves to change pert numbers I'm left stumped. The big question is this:
What Inner Primary Case will directly interchange with the 1990 ElectraGlide Classic FLHTC?
Take a look at this eBay listing and note where the part number is stamped. If you remove the primary chain inspection cover you should be able to see what the part number is of your inner primary?
I can't find a decent parts website worthy of the name at present, what with Dodge City, Alaska and now Five Seasons all having dropped off the face of the earth in recent times. However I just happen to have a 1990 parts book and the inner primary you need is #60432-90, assuming your bike is black wrinkle finish.
