Default DOT 5 Brake Fluid......

Decided to rebuild my front caliper flush the fluid etc etc... Well I didn't have enough DOT 5 brake fluid to complete the job. I had enough to bleed it and everything so but not enough to fill the reservoir. So I went to the local parts store to see if I could find some but AutoZone and Advance Auto parts Don't carry DOT 5 anymore. so, I was wondering what you guys are doing? Are you flushing your systems and replacing with DOT 3 or 4 or are you finding a new place to find DOT 5.....? Definitely curious thanks...

Do NOT put dot 3 or 4 in a dot 5 system. Dot 5 systems often use seals that are not compatible with dot 3 or 4 fluid

I just change the brake fluid on mine. Picked up a 12 oz. bottle of Bel-Ray from Amazon:

Rob to answer your question I'd get Dot 5 from wherever I could find it.
Even Walmart has it

Thanks guys I did travel around for about an hour and finally found some at a little mom and pop place. Hard to believe AutoZone and Advance which is owned by carquest didn't have it. tI was shocked... but thank you I just wondering if it's something around here or if it's something that's going on nationally...
