The white bike is an R100RS, the first properly wind-tunnel developed production bike. The grey one is a K1, which BMW took to the extreme! It had a drag coefficient the same as a car, it was that well stream-lined. So the answer to your question is that the front wheel has a fender/fairing that blends into the rest of the bike. It was claimed to do 150mph with 100HP. Beautiful, ain't it?!

I worked on the Vette this morning. I was able to fix a lot and the only thing I spent money on was a rear view mirror adhesive kit.
I even managed to get a brand new 84 month battery from O''Reilly's for free.
I got the beast started and it roared to life. A few years ago I put a complete stainless steel flow master exhaust system from the end of the headers on back, so it sounds pretty awesome without being really loud. I drove it around for a bit and gave the outside a good washing. I forgot how much I like this car.
I still have some more work to do on the interior but I was glad to make a lot of progress today.
I know, not Evo or cake related, but I had good day today, not only making progress on the repairs but also for the first time in a while, working on something worthwhile that made me feel viable. There's a lot of bullshit in my world that I don't post about and today I was able to forget about that stuff.
